About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Cooperate closely with the Project Manager in planning, preparing, establishing, and executing the site
- Manage and monitor health, safety, environment, and technical requirements at the wind farm site
- Conduct daily HSE briefings and inductions
- Manage HSE systems including permit-to-work and LOTO systems
- Make daily decisions about site activities and priorities
- Serve as the first contact for subcontractors, suppliers, and other site personnel
- Define and monitor site schedules and quality during erection, finishing, and commissioning
- Coordinate work tasks for site parties
- Oversee civil, mechanical, and electrical site works in anticipation of turbine delivery
- Manage resources, tools, materials, site logistics, and return cargo
- Lead wind turbine arrival, erection, and commissioning through on-time, quality handover
- Conduct quality inspections, including component receipt inspections
- Instruct, control, and manage site personnel, subcontractors, suppliers, erection companies, and transportation companies
- Control costs and report progress, claims, installed equipment, HSE, and quality issues to the Project Manager
- Manage and report KPIs
- Support contract and claim management with clients and suppliers
- Manage interfaces with local residents and authorities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor or Master in Engineering
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a Site Manager in operative project execution and construction site management for complex technical projects in civil construction, manufacturing and plant engineering, wind energy, and/or similar industries/energy sectors
- Good computer skills, especially MS Office and MS Project
- Fluent English
- Excellent technical qualification
- Basic knowledge and appreciation of the technical, commercial and political aspects driving the wind industry
- Driving license
