About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Coordinate the receipt, storage, tracking, preservation, and issuance of project materials
Ensure materials are available to support construction, installation, and commissioning schedules
Manage inventory levels and forecast replenishment needs
Coordinate material transfers between project sites, warehouses, and storage locations
Process goods receipts, inventory movements, and material transactions in SAP or other ERP systems
Maintain accurate inventory records and material traceability
Conduct cycle counts and inventory audits while resolving discrepancies
Track deliveries, shipments, and transportation schedules
Inspect incoming materials for accuracy, damage, and completeness
Document and report damaged, missing, or non-conforming materials and support NCR processes
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and material status reports
Monitor material availability and inventory accuracy KPIs
Support installation tooling deliveries and returns
Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to site logistics and material management
Promote and maintain a strong safety-first culture in all material handling activities
Serve as the primary site resource for material management throughout wind farm construction and commissioning activities
Collaborate with construction, logistics, warehouse, transportation, and supply chain teams throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
Minimum of 2 years of experience in material management, inventory control, logistics coordination, warehouse operations, or construction support
Experience within industrial construction, renewable energy, heavy industry, or manufacturing environments preferred
Experience with SAP, ERP systems, or inventory management software preferred
Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and supply chain processes
Familiarity with wind turbine component logistics is a plus
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and reporting tools
Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and stakeholder coordination abilities
High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment
Ability to travel extensively, up to 100%, throughout North America and internationally as required
Valid driver's license and passport required
Ability to meet the physical requirements of a construction site environment
Must possess a full valid driver's license and be insurable under Nordex's auto insurance policy
Commitment to maintaining and promoting safety standards
Strong understanding of and commitment to safety protocols and procedures
Ability to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
Ability to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards
Ability to properly use applicable safety equipment, including eye protection, hearing protectors, steel-toe boots, and hard hats
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure a safe working environment
Speak and understand English fluently to communicate safety and job-related information and collaborate with English-speaking supervisors and team members
