About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive high-impact financial analysis, strategic planning, and performance management across Nordnet’s markets and business lines
  • Serve as a trusted finance partner to business leaders and executive management
  • Deliver proactive insights, decision support, and strategic and ad-hoc analysis
  • Analyze, model, and optimize operational and financial performance
  • Evaluate revenue drivers and cost structures across segments, geographies, and product areas
  • Drive monthly reporting, budgeting, and long-term forecasting across Nordic markets and business units
  • Lead cost-efficiency initiatives and benchmark cost drivers
  • Establish financial governance with department leads and procurement
  • Evaluate new initiatives, product lines, and business cases
  • Set up development KPIs and continuous follow-up frameworks
  • Identify opportunities to enhance, automate, and scale financial models and infrastructure
  • Use IBM Planning Analytics, Looker, and Excel for data analysis

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Around 5 years of relevant experience as a Business Controller, Financial Analyst or similar
  • A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Economics, or a related field
  • Proven experience steering budget/forecasting processes and managing cost-control structures in complex, fast-paced environments
  • Strong proficiency in BI and CPM tools, such as IBM Planning Analytics and Looker
  • Strong proficiency in relational data structures
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling capabilities
  • Highly analytical and structured
  • Capable of driving initiatives independently from concept to execution
  • Genuine interest in financial markets and the fintech space
  • Data-driven approach and ability to convert complex financial and operational data into actionable business insights
  • Mandatory credit and background checks, as well as drug testing as part of the recruitment process
