About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead, coach, and grow a team responsible for supply chain hardware standards, deployment, and support
- Own the technical roadmap for Zebra handheld and vehicle-mounted computers, including refresh cycles, firmware/OS management, and MDM enrollment
- Set standards and manage the lifecycle of Zebra industrial and label printing hardware
- Account for warehouse operating conditions such as wireless coverage, ruggedization, scan throughput, and shift-based usage
- Oversee conference room and collaboration hardware engineering
- Guide device security and certificate management, including SHA-2 certificate lifecycle, PKI-based authentication, and secure enrollment
- Partner with Supply Chain Operations, distribution/fulfillment center leadership, and Workplace/Facilities teams
- Define and track fleet health, incident volume, and mean time to repair/resolution KPIs
- Manage vendor relationships and compatibility certification
- Drive Jira/Confluence planning, prioritization, execution, and documentation
- Participate in budgeting and total-cost-of-ownership analysis for hardware programs
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of engineering experience with hardware, device management, or IT infrastructure
- 2+ years in a people-management or team-lead role
- Hands-on knowledge of Zebra or comparable handheld and vehicle-mounted mobile computing devices in warehouse, distribution, or fulfillment center settings, including MDM/EMM tooling
- Experience with industrial/label printing hardware and print management systems in a high-volume supply chain environment
- Familiarity with conference room/AV and collaboration hardware deployment and support in a corporate setting
- Working knowledge of digital certificate management (SHA-2/PKI) for device authentication and secure connectivity
- Ability to lead cross-functional technical initiatives and communicate with engineers and business stakeholders
- Experience using Jira and Confluence or similar tools
- Strong analytical skills and experience tracking fleet health, incident, and reliability metrics
