About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Achieve Nordstrom customer outcomes by driving product sales within designated Marketplace categories
  • Grow GMV by developing Marketplace sellers post-launch and shaping category strategy
  • Define and build processes for the team and cross-functional partners
  • Own end-to-end assortment and promotional strategy for the category
  • Set clear OKRs and remain accountable for team results
  • Lead WBRs and MBRs with NMG and partner teams
  • Develop subdivision assortment plans, AOR strategy, category strategy, and acquisition strategy
  • Analyze data, build category-level forecasts, identify gaps, and surface sourcing priorities
  • Lead Scaled Events strategy, planning, seller outreach, and savings events
  • Build relationships with senior NMG leadership and serve as liaison to NMG and Acquisition
  • Partner with onboarding, eCommerce merchandising, Digital Merchandising, Buying, Customer Care, Marketing, and Product Management
  • Optimize relationships with Tier 1 sellers and Strategic Tier 2 accounts through structured connects and business reviews
  • Partner on brand launches and large-scale site visibility initiatives
  • Lead, develop, and manage a team through coaching, accountability structures, seller support, assortment execution, and scaled events

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent work experience, required
  • 5+ years professional experience in a large matrixed organization
  • 1+ years managing or mentoring teams
  • Proficiency with data-driven decision-making skills and technology systems required
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, build efficiencies at scale, and prioritize across competing opportunities to drive measurable business outcomes
  • Experience in retail merchandising, assortment planning, or promotional strategy as a merchant, seller/brand, or digital merchandiser
  • Strong relationship management skills with ability to influence senior stakeholders and cultivate high-value external seller partnerships
  • Experience managing scaled events or large promotional campaigns is a plus
  • Comfortable with constant change and regularly building and iterating processes
