About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Ensure factory partners meet Nordstrom’s quality, safety and regulatory standards
  • Manage and support data for testing and inspections
  • Track the Factory Empowerment Program, including valid test reports, uploaded inspections and inspector certifications
  • Manage Corrective Action Plan/Root Cause Analysis report data and hold factories accountable for timely submission
  • Manage inspection and testing report data from OSC
  • Manage testing results and sample shipments through resolution
  • Lead assessment of QA defects and organize internal audits with cross-functional teams
  • Review product inspection results, trends and priorities with the Manager and Sr. Manager
  • Prepare Quarterly Business Review materials
  • Manage daily/seasonal CPSC data sets and submit them to BV
  • Lead cross-functional ad hoc projects and priorities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in apparel or footwear product development and manufacturing
  • Working knowledge of garment/product construction and manufacturing processes
  • Familiarity with Nordstrom’s product, culture and business practices preferred
  • Ability to work independently with general direction and manage competing priorities
  • Strong organizational skills with experience compiling and tracking data across multiple sources
  • Sound independent judgment to resolve day-to-day issues directly, knowing when to escalate to the Manager or Sr. Manager
  • Comfortable holding factories and cross-functional partners accountable and following through on commitments without close oversight
  • Strong problem-solving skills with adaptability to changing priorities
  • Aptitude to learn new processes and find trends in factory performances
  • Experience working with overseas vendors and manufacturers
  • Hands-on proficiency with MS Office suite of software and FLEXPLM
