About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage multiple workstreams required to open the shoe-focused Nordstrom Miami Design District location
  • Communicate with cross-functional teams to make decisions and monitor opening milestones
  • Deliver against scope, budget, and timeline
  • Oversee projects, set deadlines, assign responsibilities, clarify risks, dependencies, and resources, and summarize progress
  • Collaborate with Store Design & Construction, Merchandising Strategy & Execution, Store Operations, Asset Protection, Technology, Marketing, HR, Learning & Leadership, and Regional Leaders
  • Mentor junior project managers and project specialists
  • Manage complex projects across requirements, scope, schedule, resources, testing, quality, release, costs, and changes
  • Facilitate solutions and business decisions across cross-functional teams
  • Partner with Store/Regional teams to provide direction and ensure standards and timely delivery
  • Communicate issues, changes, and proposed solutions to senior leadership
  • Own budget and resource planning and adjust schedules and targets
  • Organize complex information and use relevant data to drive action and results
  • Build plans, set milestone targets, adhere to deadlines, and contribute to strategic initiatives
  • Lead data gathering and interpretation to identify problems and solutions and maintain standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4-year degree in related field preferred or equivalent experience and/or training in project management principles
  • 3+ years’ experience in project management with demonstrated successful project delivery
  • Demonstrated analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated negotiation and facilitation skills
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Management of projects with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Working knowledge of change management principles and performance evaluation processes
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills
