About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own weekly planning of JWN fulfillment volumes to drive labor planning and daily execution across Fulfillment Centers, Store Operations, and Final Mile Transportation
- Build the total fulfillment plan and directly manage one store-focused planner
- Own outbound digital demand plans, including modeling, reporting, and analysis at daily and select hourly grains
- Manage upstream and downstream stakeholder relationships
- Use AI and agentic tooling, such as Claude Code, to build, run, and maintain repeatable planning workflows
- Develop models for planning assumptions and variance analysis
- Meet with stakeholders to understand business levers such as sales trends and promotional plans
- Set priorities, review processes, and develop the direct report’s modeling and stakeholder skills
- Support weekly business rhythms for operational executive leadership
- Create daily scaled event reporting and analysis for executive leaders
- Execute ad-hoc analysis to resolve planning risks and support immediate decisions
- Establish and execute quarterly priorities to improve planning outcomes
- Review Data Science outputs and provide feedback
- Provide user requirements and feedback to Product Management partners
- Improve current planning capabilities and shape future-state capabilities with Product Management
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of planning or analytics experience
- Ability to manage disparate priorities and coordinate various stakeholders to drive action
- Strong communication skills and comfort in engaging with business leaders
- Demonstrated use of AI tooling to accelerate analytical and planning work, with judgment to validate its output
- Advanced Excel and SQL skills
- Experience in Retail Supply Chain or Supply Chain Planning is preferred
- Experience directly or indirectly managing teams
- Prior experience in Demand, Fulfillment, or Labor Planning for a retail supply chain is ideal
- Fluency with AI and agentic tooling applied to planning work
- Strong data analytics skills
