About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Contribute to backend development in Python, FastAPI, Databricks, and Apache Spark to support UI and integration needs
Integrate the UI with backend services and APIs
Collaborate closely with data and engineering stakeholders
Design and build a high-quality single-page web application using React or a similar framework
Translate product ideas into usable interfaces
Contribute to UI/UX decisions and front-end architecture
Support DevOps and delivery activities, including containerization, environment setup, deployment pipelines, and operational readiness
Write maintainable, well-tested code
Participate in code reviews and improve engineering standards

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong experience across the Python ecosystem; FastAPI experience is a strong plus
Experience with Apache Spark and PySpark
Proven experience building single-page applications and reusable UI components
Solid DevOps background, preferably with Azure DevOps, pipelines, repositories, and CI/CD
Other CI/CD tooling is acceptable
Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Ability to take ownership, communicate clearly, and lead technical discussions when needed
Understanding of typical MLOps and/or data science concepts/workflows is a nice-to-have
Experience working in Azure cloud environments is a nice-to-have
Strong UI/UX sensibility, including layout, usability, and design systems
Ability to work with styling guidelines
Experience building internal tools or configurable user interfaces is a nice-to-have
Mining or other processing industry experience is a plus
Spanish language skills are a plus
