About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Independently lead the layout design and documentation of complex, multilayer, high-density PCBs
  • Ensure compliance with engineering requirements, IPC standards, and manufacturing best practices
  • Develop complete fabrication and assembly documentation packages
  • Verify documentation accuracy, completeness, and manufacturability before release
  • Collaborate with Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, and Test Engineering teams
  • Resolve design challenges involving signal integrity, impedance control, thermal management, and mechanical constraints
  • Establish and maintain PCB design libraries, footprints, symbols, and layout standards
  • Review PCB layouts and documentation for technical accuracy
  • Provide design guidance and technical leadership to junior PCB designers
  • Support prototype builds, engineering investigations, and production issues
  • Evaluate layout-related concerns and implement effective design solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline, or a minimum of seven years of progressive PCB layout design experience in a high-reliability manufacturing environment
  • Advanced proficiency with Cadence Allegro PCB Designer and OrCAD Capture
  • Complex multilayer PCB design and documentation experience
  • Knowledge of IPC standards, PCB fabrication and assembly processes, and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles
  • Experience designing high-speed, mixed-signal, and high-density PCB layouts
  • Understanding of signal integrity and controlled impedance design techniques
  • U.S. Person status: U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (Green Card holder)
  • Ability to provide documentation verifying U.S. Person status upon hire
