About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Join the employed Hospitalist group at Northern Arizona Healthcare
  • Advance the mission of improving health and healing people
  • Provide hospitalist care in collaboration with surgeons and other specialties
  • Work within hospitalist teams comprising rounding, admitting, and nocturnist teams
  • Manage an average census of 16 patients (typically 14–18)
  • Work approximately 166 shifts per year after leave and CME, with rounding, admitting, and swing shifts
  • Participate in backup assignment approximately 4–5 times per quarter
  • Collaborate with extensive subspecialist support and care management services
  • Work with Family Medicine residents if desired
  • Participate in leadership opportunities if interested
  • Provide care without required procedures or mid-level supervision duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Residency
  • 2 plus year’s hospitalist experience
  • Arizona License or ability to be licensed
