About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate care for patients and their families
  • Provide direct patient care, patient and family education, and discharge planning
  • Assess patient health information, conditions, needs, and progress

  • Report safety incidents and monitor the work environment for safety issues
  • Provide leadership to ancillary personnel as team leader and preceptor

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate's Degree
  • Active, unrestricted Arizona RN License or valid, participating compact license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • NIHSS certification required within 30 days of hire
  • RNs hired on or after 7/1/2016 must graduate from a BSN program within 6 years of hire into an RN position
  • Understanding of computers and competence using computers and basic software programs
  • Must obtain and maintain appropriate clinical competencies for assigned roles
  • Must complete mandatory modules and required job-specific training within specified time frames
  • Must maintain current certifications and licenses
  • On-call availability may be required depending on the nursing unit
