About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage site services, including camp services and transportation contracts
  • Audit and maintain service standards
  • Liaise with employees and contractors regarding service experiences and performance
  • Monitor service levels and performance indicators and implement corrective actions
  • Oversee camp occupancy schedules and processes
  • Coordinate camp maintenance issue escalation, prioritization, and resolution
  • Oversee contract administration and participate in bid processes
  • Review, approve, and audit site service purchase orders and invoices
  • Coordinate tender processes and analyze tender results
  • Assist with contractual documents
  • Chair projects including the Pogo Social Club, Family Day, and site visits
  • Provide assistance to the General Manager
  • Review and improve site access and administrative processes
  • Supervise, train, and support the Administrative Team
  • Provide INX and administrative support to OHS and training teams
  • Support site system projects, including +Process and fuel swipe cards
  • Oversee site branding and improve employee camp services and living conditions
  • Liaise with External Affairs and Human Resources on communications
  • Drive continuous improvement through surveys, employee interactions, and audits
  • Create and implement site services improvement plans
  • Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma
  • Current Driver’s License
  • Previous contract and project management experience, preferably in the resources sector and preferably on a remote site
  • Experience in managing and directing the work of others
  • Excellent understanding of office processes, systems (INX) and equipment
  • Experience in creating and analysing complex data and presenting with context to expanded audiences
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced experience with document editing and graphics production
  • Advanced computer literacy — Microsoft Office suite and database systems including INX and Pronto
  • Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to identify, address and overcome challenges and roadblocks
  • Ability to coordinate, share, and complete tasks and responsibilities with other onsite groups
  • Flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practices
  • Pass a background check and post-offer physical
  • Awareness of the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) Act & Regulations
  • Knowledge of statutory safety and environmental requirements relevant to mine site operations
  • Knowledge of contract bid processes and contract administration
  • Must live in the Fairbanks North Star Borough area
  • Visa sponsorship is not available
