About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide premier client service by building relationships with the Investment Advisor and third parties
  • Develop thorough knowledge of client requirements and key processes
  • Resolve client queries and coordinate delivery with internal Northern Trust teams
  • Support end-to-end unit pricing cycle
  • Action ad-hoc cash management items
  • Process payments on banking portals
  • Complete monthly client monies and bank reconciliations
  • Undertake investor call and distribution processes end to end
  • Complete investor transfer processes
  • Process investor contact and bank detail updates
  • Monitor investor audit confirmations
  • Handle investor and fund tax reporting
  • Handle fund closings
  • Monitor mailboxes and complete assigned tasks
  • Review junior team members’ work
  • Support team workloads and rotate tasks
  • Identify efficiencies and process improvements to reduce risk
  • Ensure available technology is used efficiently and resolve technology issues
  • Work with legal and compliance teams to maintain regulatory compliance
  • Report operational issues to the manager and flag service delivery delays
  • Review daily controls and communicate procedural changes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Previous experience as a Senior Fund Administrator with a signatory element is preferred
  • CA/CPA
  • 2–4 years of fund administration experience in a reputed fund manager, custodian, or administrator
  • Experience preparing financial statements under AASB/IFRS and liaising with and finalizing audits for investment funds
  • Experience in Australian distribution calculations for trusts
  • Excellent organisation skills and ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Customer service orientation with concern for quality
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Initiative to prepare procedures and checklists to assist others
  • Ability to set priorities and manage deadlines
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Industry knowledge of financial instruments, local regulations, and laws
  • Business or financial services qualification or studying for same is advantageous, not essential
  • Exposure to assurance/risk and compliance is advantageous, not essential
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of Investran would be an advantage
