About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Partner with clients, technology, product management, operations, and other business teams to gather, analyze, and translate requirements for automated data extracts
Deliver and support client reporting through files, dashboards, and client data warehouse feeds
Assist clients with Snowflake data shares, including onboarding and ongoing questions
Balance and prioritize competing deliverables across projects, releases, and production support
Communicate trade-offs and timelines to stakeholders
Track open items and carry work through to production
Conduct feasibility studies and define and design system requirements for complex data-processing projects
Review existing systems, processes, and business challenges to identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve processes, enhance services, and increase operational efficiency
Design and develop solutions that meet business and technical requirements
Coordinate and support testing of new systems, system enhancements, and modifications
Provide ongoing project support and assist with project planning, including estimating and managing work efforts
Prepare supporting materials, documentation, and user manuals
Provide training to business partners related to system or process changes
Deliver ongoing technical support and troubleshoot complex system, data, and reporting issues

Requirements

What you’ll need

Five or more years of relevant professional experience
Demonstrated experience analyzing requirements and developing technical or automated solutions to support data, reporting, systems, or process-improvement initiatives in partnership with technical and nontechnical stakeholders
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in SQL and Snowflake
Working knowledge of financial products and how they appear in trade, position, pricing, and cash activity data, including equities, fixed income, FX, and listed and OTC derivatives such as interest rate swaps, credit default swaps and indices, total return swaps, and options
Ability to manage multiple projects, balance competing priorities, adapt to changing business needs, and follow work through to completion
Experience with one or more of Sigma, Alteryx, Power BI, Python, or xCeptor is preferred
Experience working within a structured Software Development Life Cycle environment is preferred
Familiarity with Atlassian, Azure DevOps, or similar project management and development tools is preferred
Previous experience in financial services or hedge fund operations is preferred
A college or university degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance or a related field is preferred
