About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support Northrop Grumman Space Systems teams as a junior, mid-level, or senior engineer
Develop, evolve, and lead technological strategy across multiple skill areas
Work across the product development lifecycle, from new business acquisition and technology development to established program support
Perform Systems Engineering, Systems Integration & Test, Cyber Systems Engineering, and/or Software Systems Integration
Support spacecraft systems and broader Space Systems programs
Work 100% on-site in Chandler, Colorado Springs, Aurora, or Boulder
Travel approximately 10% of the time
Obtain final clearances and program access within a reasonable period
Maintain required clearance and program access throughout employment

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 2 years of relevant experience (Level 2), or Master’s degree with 1 year
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 5 years of relevant experience (Level 3), or Master’s degree with 3 years, or PhD with 1 year
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 8 years of relevant experience (Level 4), or Master’s degree with 6 years, or PhD with 4 years
An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree for certain positions
Active Secret clearance at time of application
Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance
Strong understanding of Systems Engineering, Systems Integration & Test, Cyber Systems Engineering, or Software Systems Integration
U.S. Citizenship required for positions with a government clearance
Preferred: Master’s Degree or above in Engineering discipline
Preferred: Active Top Secret or Top Secret/SCI clearance
Preferred: Experience working on spacecraft systems
Preferred: Experience developing, managing, and decomposing requirements
Preferred: Experience in system architecture, CONOPs, and/or model-based systems engineering
Preferred: Experience in subsystem, payload, or system integration
Preferred: Experience using DOORS and Cameo
Preferred: Security+ certification
Strong people skills
Excellent communication skills (upward and downward)
