About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop, evolve, and lead technological strategy across multiple skill areas
  • Work across multiple roles throughout the product development lifecycle
  • Support activities spanning new business acquisition, technology development, and established program support
  • Apply expertise in systems engineering, systems architecture, systems integration and test, electrical engineering, contamination control, radiation, EMI/EMC, reliability, thermal, materials and processes, configuration management, optical, RF/microwave engineering, or engineering design leadership
  • Obtain final clearances and program access within a reasonable period as determined by the company
  • Maintain required clearance and program access throughout employment
  • Support programs contingent upon program awards and business or customer funding

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 5+ years of engineering experience, or Master’s Degree and 3+ years, or PhD and 1+ year for Level 3
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 8+ years of engineering experience, or Master’s Degree and 6+ years, or PhD and 4+ years for Level 4
  • Active SCI access at time of application and prior to start date, or active U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance with ability to obtain and maintain SCI access
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required clearance and program access
  • Strong understanding of one or more relevant engineering disciplines
  • Preferred: Master’s Degree or above in Engineering
  • Preferred: Experience working on spacecraft systems
  • Preferred: Experience developing, managing, and decomposing requirements
  • Preferred: Experience in system architecture, CONOPs, and/or model-based systems engineering
  • Preferred: Experience in subsystem, payload, or system integration
  • Preferred: Experience using DOORS and Cameo
  • Preferred: Strong people skills
  • Preferred: Excellent upward and downward communication skills
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions
  • Travel up to 10% of the time
