About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities
  • Monitor contracts and associated programs to ensure contractual obligations are communicated and understood
  • Participate in contract proposal coordination and preparation for timely customer submission
  • Participate in complex contract negotiations, including commercial and international contracts
  • Manage contract administration and customer contract activities in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications
  • Collaborate with technical, program, finance, global supply chain, and security functions
  • Ensure fulfillment of contract requirements and manage contract change requests
  • Maintain historical contract information
  • Review terms and conditions, identify financial and contractual risks, and recommend mitigation strategies
  • Cultivate customer relationships despite geographical separation
  • Enter and maintain contract data in Contract Management System or Enterprise Accounting System
  • Prioritize activities while managing multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Support program success and new growth opportunities as an embedded member of the program management team
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree with 12 years of professional experience, or Master’s degree with 10 years of professional experience, or PhD with 8 years of professional experience
  • An additional 4+ years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • No clearance required to start
  • Experience working large competitive DoD proposals
  • Experience negotiating and administering various contract types of varying sizes and types of agreements with the DoD
  • Thorough understanding of applicable government regulations such as FAR or DFAR
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for certain restricted positions
  • Contract administration or contract management experience (preferred)
  • Experience managing cost-type or firm fixed price procurement contract types (preferred)
  • Experience with other transactions (a plus)
  • Knowledge of federal government contracting requirements and FAR/DFAR interpretations (a plus)
