About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Counsel on matters associated with the pursuit, capture, negotiation, execution, and administration of U.S. Government and commercial prime contracts and subcontracts
- Advise and coordinate with business and legal specialists on intellectual property, environmental, health, safety, real estate and property, human resources, internal investigations, supply chain, export/import compliance, litigation, and employment and labor relations
- Communicate and collaborate with lawyers and business teams inside and outside the company
- Work in cross-functional teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- Juris Doctorate and active state bar membership
- At least 10 years of relevant U.S. Government contracting experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance
- U.S. Government and commercial contracting experience at a law firm, U.S. Government agency, and/or in-house legal department
- Ability to analyze complex legal concepts and communicate effectively
- Experience supporting U.S. Government programs and/or complex commercial transactions as in-house counsel, plus law firm or Government agency experience
- Experience supporting clients and interfacing with customers in the defense/intelligence communities
- Expertise with FAR, DFAR, and other U.S. Government agencies’ rules and practices
- Litigation and/or investigative experience
- An active U.S. DoD security clearance at the Secret level or higher
