About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Automate cloud-native technologies, deploy applications, and provision critical infrastructure
Work with microservices and distributed application architectures, including containers, Kubernetes, and/or serverless technology
Configure and deploy optimized infrastructure within the OpenStack cloud ecosystem
Monitor the health of deployed resources using Nagios or other enterprise management solutions
Document procedures used during deployment cycles
Use operational monitoring tools
Collaborate with the DevOps team and mentor/cross-train technical talent
Assist with troubleshooting tasks
Implement clean, maintainable infrastructure as code according to industry best practices using Terraform
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of professional experience, or Master’s degree with 3 years, or PhD with 1 year; an additional 4+ years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree (Level 3)
Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of professional experience, or Master’s degree with 6 years, or PhD with 4 years; an additional 4+ years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree (Level 4)
Active Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance (TS/SCI) at time of application, current and within scope
3+ years of DevOps experience (Level 3)
5+ years of DevOps experience (Level 4)
3+ years in a technical leadership role managing technical objectives (Level 3)
5+ years in a technical leadership role managing technical objectives (Level 4)
Experience in Jira metrics reporting
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Terraform, and Ansible
Experience with Kubernetes (K8s)
U.S. Citizenship required for government clearance positions
STEM degree preferred
Experience in Linux tools/automation and shell scripting preferred
Experience in Python preferred
Experience with OpenStack management preferred
Docker containerization preferred
Experience with continuous integration/deployment tools such as Jenkins or GitLab preferred
Experience creating, executing, and troubleshooting complex automated processes for server configuration or code deployment preferred
