About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the US Air Force account for NGMS as the primary sector customer-facing business development lead
- Meet growth objectives, pipeline health, win rate, and customer-relations goals
- Lead the full account lifecycle from early shaping and solution scoping through proposal, award, and post-award relationship stewardship
- Integrate NGMS divisions, product lines, and capture teams into a unified value proposition for the US Air Force
- Build and deepen executive-level customer relationships across Air Force and defense stakeholders
- Identify, qualify, and prioritize pursuits using business-case and competitive analysis
- Orchestrate opportunity qualification, win strategies, themes, and transitions to capture
- Partner with Capture Leadership, Business Units, and functional teams on capture strategies and proposal readiness
- Prepare senior executives with briefs, call plans, talking points, and post-engagement readouts
- Develop and execute integrated customer and stakeholder engagement plans
- Capture customer feedback and market intelligence to inform product roadmaps, IRAD/R&D priorities, and portfolio strategy
- Coordinate with division business unit counterparts to represent customer needs and integrate division content
- Establish account rhythms and metrics, including quarterly business reviews, pipeline reviews, and gate reviews
- Communicate status, risks, and recovery actions to sector and division leadership
- Uphold ethical conduct and compliance in customer interactions and pursuit activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree and 10 or more years of defense-sector business development/capture experience or relevant military experience, or a Master's degree and 8 or more years of defense-sector business development/capture experience or relevant military experience
- 5 or more years leading large, multi-disciplinary teams to deliver win-focused outcomes
- Deep knowledge of DoW/USAF acquisition and/or operational processes
- Exceptional executive-level communication and briefing skills
- Experience influencing senior government officials and corporate leadership
- US Citizenship
- Current/Active Secret clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain a SAP clearance after starting
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time
- Preferred: proven track record of owning full-cycle account management and improving win rates
- Preferred: ability to translate market intelligence into agile, winning strategies
- Preferred: Top Secret Clearance
- Preferred: advanced degree or MBA
