About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop avionics and lab harness designs and schematics
  • Coordinate and liaise electrical engineering designs through the procurement process
  • Coordinate and liaise electrical design integration and assembly
  • Lead and coordinate hardware integration in a laboratory environment
  • Develop documentation supporting designs and product lifecycle management
  • Support troubleshooting and system verification in a lab setting
  • Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team
  • Develop custom testing solutions and specialized support equipment for the B-2 Stealth Bomber and other platforms

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 2 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years of related professional/military experience for Electrical Design Engineer (Level 2)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 5 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Ph.D. in a STEM discipline and 1 year of related professional/military experience for Principal Electrical Design Engineer (Level 3)
  • Active DoD Secret or higher clearance, with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
  • Experience developing electrical designs using tools such as Visio, AutoCAD, or similar design software tools
  • U.S. Citizenship required for positions with a government clearance
  • Preferred: Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or closely related field
  • Preferred: Professional experience in aerospace and defense
  • Preferred: Active Top Secret clearance
  • Preferred: Active Program access
  • Preferred: Electrical design experience using Visio
  • Preferred: Working knowledge of communications hardware and protocols for ethernet, serial and 1553
  • Preferred: Experience with PLM systems
  • Preferred: Hardware integration experience in a laboratory environment
  • Preferred: Experience working in a dynamic environment with competing priorities
