About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop, establish, and maintain Mission Assurance policies, procedures, processes, and controls
- Ensure performance and quality of manufactured products conform to company, AS9100, governmental, and customer requirements
- Conduct source inspections at vendor sites before authorizing shipment
- Understand tool design intent, failure modes, product requirements and specifications, manufacturing processes, process controls, statistics, SPC, and quality inspections
- Provide quality guidance in tooling design reviews
- Author initial inspection plans for new tooling and periodic/recycle inspection plans
- Ensure compliance and serve as liaison between the S&MA organization, other organizations, and government agencies
- Work with operating entities to conduct inspections, SPC analyses, and audits
- Enforce requirements, meet specifications, and improve processing
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 0 years of professional experience for Level 1
- Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of professional experience OR Master’s degree with 0 years of professional experience for Level 2
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing Techniques
- Process Controls (SPC)
- Interpreting blueprints and specifications
- Troubleshooting production/tooling/facility issues and implementing improvements and solutions
- Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) knowledge
- Experience with internal and external customers, including government and vendors
- Experience with manufacturing processes
- Experience with machining and/or dimensional inspection
- Proven technical aptitude and ability to solve complex technical issues
- Proven ability to multitask and prioritize workload
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Up to 25% travel may be required
- U.S. Citizenship is required for positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions
