About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead Northrop Grumman’s Salesforce program and related enterprise application initiatives
  • Own Salesforce strategy, roadmap, governance, and operational execution for Business Development, Environmental Sustainability, and Mission Systems programs
  • Translate business objectives into scalable, secure, user-focused Salesforce and enterprise application strategies
  • Lead communities of practice and working groups to drive standards and best practices
  • Lead, prioritize, coach, and mentor Salesforce Administrators/Developers
  • Set team goals and expectations and foster continuous improvement, accountability, and knowledge sharing
  • Serve as primary stakeholder contact for Business Development, Environmental Sustainability, and Mission Systems programs
  • Facilitate meetings with leadership to review priorities, roadmap, risks, and status
  • Coordinate requirements gathering, solution design reviews, and change management
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and resource plans
  • Own and manage Statements of Work for internal and external delivery teams
  • Partner with procurement, vendors, and stakeholders on contracts, renewals, technical services, and licensing
  • Lead Salesforce configuration, integration, and enhancement projects
  • Apply project management practices for planning, execution, risk and issue management, and reporting
  • Coordinate dependencies across initiatives and balance short-term needs with long-term strategy
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues with developers and administrators
  • Ensure solutions comply with security, compliance, and architecture standards
  • Support Salesforce incident and problem management
  • Lead trainings, demonstrations, and office hours to drive adoption
  • Oversee documentation, Concept of Operations, and training materials
  • Promote data stewardship and system ownership

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of relevant professional experience; or a Master's degree with 6 years of relevant professional experience; or 12 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise or multi-sector applications
  • Experience working with business stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize initiatives, and align technology projects with business outcomes
  • Strong project management experience, preferably in software or enterprise application delivery
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including functional leadership and program managers
  • Experience leading trainings, Q&A sessions, or communities of practice related to technology or process change
  • Ability to collaborate with developers, administrators, and engineers to address issues, clarify requirements, and guide solution approaches
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives and priorities
  • Ability to effectively lead and coordinate remote teams and stakeholders
  • Continuous learning mindset and interest in Salesforce and related enterprise applications
  • Formal people-leadership experience preferred
  • Experience managing or implementing Salesforce or similar Business Development / CRM platforms preferred
  • Experience with Business Development organizations or software, Environmental Sustainability initiatives, or Mission Systems programs preferred
  • Program, portfolio, or product management experience for enterprise or multi-sector software solutions preferred
  • PMP certification preferred, or equivalent program/portfolio management experience
  • Experience managing budgets, SOWs, and/or vendor relationships for technology programs preferred
  • Familiarity with agile or hybrid project management methodologies preferred
  • Experience establishing governance structures, standards, and best practices for enterprise applications preferred
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions
