About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage multiple teams and ensure goal setting and tasks align with IPT vision
  • Resolve blockers and personnel issues
  • Ensure resource allocations are sufficient for tasking and identify areas for efficiency or enhancement
  • Set and maintain high team morale across the IPT
  • Work with customer representatives to address concerns and facilitate conversations on topics of interest
  • Oversee special projects and upgrade efforts for the teams
  • Formalize and enforce process structure and ensure work scope remains within the SOW to prevent scope growth
  • Identify areas for business growth and cultivate strong working relationships with teams and customers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of professional experience, or Master’s degree with 6 years of professional experience, or PhD with 4 years of professional experience
  • An additional 4+ years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Active U.S. Government Top-Secret (TS) security clearance and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance at time of application, current and within scope
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval/access within a reasonable amount of time
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing multiple teams
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to present technical concepts to a diverse group of engineers
  • Experience working with geographically dispersed teams
  • Experience with Spacecraft Operations
  • Final clearances and program access must be obtained within a reasonable period of time
  • Preferred: experience developing and providing training related to on-orbit spacecraft operations
  • Preferred: experience with on-orbit spacecraft anomaly resolution and root cause corrective action investigations
  • Preferred: past military service, preferably in Space Force or Air Force
  • Preferred: experience with spacecraft-related training programs
  • Preferred: expertise in orbital propagation and perturbations, orbit estimation, orbital maneuvers, modeling, simulation, and analysis
  • Preferred: familiarity with FreeFlyer, System Tool Kit (STK), NASA General Mission Analysis Tool (GMAT), and Orbit Determination Toolbox (ODTBX)
  • Preferred: advanced orbital mechanics knowledge and experience
