About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide complex end-user support and service operations at the Service Desk for classified workstations, accounts, connectivity, and cloud-access issues
  • Serve as a senior Help Desk Analyst and lead worker, providing technical direction, work coordination, and hands-on support
  • Resolve complex issues involving Microsoft Azure Government Secret Cloud and AWS Government Secret Cloud from air-gapped classified networks
  • Communicate technical issues to end users, cyber personnel, system administrators, network engineers, and leadership
  • Coordinate diagnosis and resolution of multi-system issues across users, service desk staff, administrators, engineers, cybersecurity teams, and enclave owners
  • Act as the primary escalation point for workstation configuration, authentication, endpoint posture, enclave connectivity, and classified cloud access issues
  • Manage and prioritize complex incidents and service requests with minimal supervision
  • Troubleshoot endpoints, peripheral devices, account services, authentication failures, network paths, certificates, and cloud-access dependencies
  • Provide onsite and offsite user support across hardware, software, network, account, and secure connectivity domains
  • Use Active Directory and approved identity/access-management tools to provision, unlock, reset, and validate user and device access
  • Maintain asset, configuration, and deployment records for classified end-user devices and support equipment
  • Execute and document security-required installation, relocation, maintenance, sanitization, and retirement actions
  • Support containment, documentation, coordination, and remediation of classified or unclassified data-spillage incidents
  • Lead or support installations, technology refreshes, validation testing, and special projects
  • Provide direct onsite support in classified spaces, including desk-side troubleshooting and equipment deployment
  • Identify systemic issues and recurring incident trends and escalate recommendations
  • Support enterprise and program-specific enclaves according to their configurations and security constraints
  • Document incident resolutions, known errors, workarounds, and escalation patterns
  • Provide technical guidance, prioritization, and process coaching to lower-level technicians

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School diploma and 6 years of experience; OR an Associates degree and 4 years of experience; OR a Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of related experience
  • Experience supporting end-user computing, access management, and complex technical troubleshooting
  • Current U.S. Government Secret security clearance with a closed investigation date completed within the last 6 years OR enrollment in the U.S. Government Continuous Evaluation (CE) Program
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems, Active Directory, endpoint troubleshooting, LAN/WAN connectivity, and user support in classified environments
  • Experience troubleshooting access or connectivity issues affecting secure cloud or enclave-based services
  • Meet U.S. Government DoD 8140 (formerly 8570) requirements for IAM level II, typically CompTIA Security+ or equivalent, or complete these requirements within six months of hire
  • Experience serving as a technical lead, escalation point, or senior technician for complex end-user support issues
  • Experience with secure access controls, incident documentation, and operational procedures in air-gapped or restricted classified networks
  • Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds
  • U.S. Citizenship required for positions with a government clearance
  • Associate’s degree in information technology, computer systems, cybersecurity, or a related discipline (preferred)
  • 5 or more years of experience supporting end-user devices, classified service operations, or enclave-based IT infrastructure in a classified environment (preferred)
  • Current hardware, software, operating system, or endpoint-management certifications relevant to end-user support (preferred)
  • Active Secret or Top Secret clearance; SCI, SAP/SAR, or polygraph access (preferred)
  • Security+ CE certification (preferred)
  • Experience with SCCM, MECM, PowerShell, or similar tools (preferred)
  • Experience supporting VDI, thin clients, or virtualized user environments (preferred)
  • Cross-platform support across Windows, Linux, UNIX, or virtual desktop platforms (preferred)
  • Experience with ServiceNow or JIRA (preferred)
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Azure Government Secret Cloud, AWS Government Secret Cloud, or similarly controlled classified cloud environments (preferred)
  • Experience supporting enterprise and program-specific enclaves with differing configurations or restrictions (preferred)
