About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support Government programs, capture and proposal activities, and contract operations
  • Report directly to Contracts Leadership
  • Collaborate daily with business managers, operations managers, capture managers, and other functional teams
  • Manage contracts from business development through contract closeout
  • Support customer satisfaction, financial performance, and risk mitigation
  • Work complex assignments independently and support Finance, Program Management, and various levels of Management
  • Lead proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and contract administration from proposal through closeout
  • Administer daily contract activities for product lines and contract types, including cost reimbursable and firm fixed price
  • Establish payment terms and initiate and monitor invoicing, collections, and funding
  • Enter and manage data in the Contract Management System, financial systems, and delivery systems
  • Participate in customer meetings and monitor compliance with contract requirements
  • Lead change management processes
  • Negotiate non-disclosure agreements and contract terms and conditions within company guidelines
  • Provide advisory support to program management, site management, and customers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) and at least 9 years of applied experience; or at least 5 years of applied experience with Bachelor’s Degree; or at least 3 years with a Master’s in a related field
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS
  • Experience with different contract types
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively research FAR/DFAR information
  • Ability to understand regulatory changes and their impact on contracts/subcontracts
  • Decision-making skills to resolve complex problems while minimizing risk to the Corporation
  • Preferred: experience in the defense industry specifically in a contracts role
  • Preferred: excellent verbal and written communication skills with internal and external customers
  • Preferred: ability to work independently
  • Preferred: ability to learn and utilize various data entry software tools and adapt to changes to those tools
  • Preferred: advanced understanding of Government contracting requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions
