About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contract activities
  • Administer standard and nonstandard unconventional contracts
  • Act as the primary customer interface for contractual issues
  • Monitor contracts and associated programs to ensure contractual obligations are communicated and understood
  • Manage assigned contracts in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications
  • Develop solutions to routine and complex contractual matters
  • Ensure fulfillment of contract requirements and manage contract changes
  • Maintain historical contract information
  • Review terms and conditions and identify risks involving financial terms, acceptance criteria, delivery, warranty, intellectual property, termination, and indemnification
  • Recommend risk mitigation strategies
  • Assist management in achieving financial goals related to cash management and sales
  • Prepare and manage written communications with internal and external customers
  • Enter and maintain contract data in Contract Management and/or Enterprise Accounting Systems
  • Ensure timely delivery of contractual deliverables (CDRLs/SDRLs) and submission of invoices
  • Represent the organization as a prime contact on contracts or projects
  • Coordinate with senior internal and external personnel
  • Develop and deliver presentations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience in contracts or related field, or Master's degree with 3 years of experience in contracts or related field
  • 9 years of applied experience accepted in lieu of degree requirement
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
  • Experience negotiating terms and conditions, including Standard Ts&Cs, FAR/DFARS, and specialty clauses
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret-level security clearance required
  • Current/Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance preferred
  • Experience using 1ERP preferred
  • Experience with Other Transactional Authorities (OTAs), U.S. government customers, and prime contractors preferred
