About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as an enterprise integration driver, partnering with sectors and functional teams on cross-enterprise initiatives
  • Advise on communications and connect enterprise priorities to business needs
  • Identify inconsistent use of channels, tools and processes and develop recommendations, standards and templates
  • Design and maintain frameworks, messaging and resources for consistent, employee-centric content sharing
  • Refine the Communications Ecosystem and recommend improvements using metrics and feedback
  • Support high-level, cross-enterprise events with tactical communications and strategic rollout of key themes and storytelling
  • Ensure communications plans and tactics align with the company’s strategic vision and Northrop Grumman’s brand
  • Collaborate with Communications and functional partners across sector and corporation teams
  • Serve as a channel lead backup for syndication, all-employee message sends, intranet maintenance and digital signage
  • Report to the Employee Communications manager for the Integration and Channel Strategy team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with five (5) plus years of experience successfully developing and deploying communications practices, or three (3) plus years of communications experience with a Master-level degree from an accredited university
  • An additional four years of experience can be considered in lieu of degree
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
  • High level of integrity when handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong judgment, problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Superb attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to develop solutions to problems of moderate scope and complexity
  • Strong business presence and history of cultivating trusting relationships with multiple teams and leaders
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines with accuracy and composure
  • High level of interpersonal skills and a “can-do” attitude
  • Experience leveraging data to create and execute communications strategies, plans, programs and events
  • Understanding of Associated Press writing style
  • Aerospace and Defense experience preferred
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions
