About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work as a Laboratory System Test Engineer
- Perform Level III system verification efforts
- Create test procedures based on Level III requirements
- Develop expert understanding of the assigned subsystem
- Use test infrastructure to dry run and execute system-level verification
- Complete verification of system-level hardware and software capabilities for a classified program
- Synthesize customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions while acknowledging technical, schedule, and cost constraints
- Develop and direct preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules
- Support occasional shift work and overtime
- Work full time in a classified development environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline and 5 years of related professional/military experience, or Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related professional/military experience, or STEM Ph.D. and 1 year of related professional/military experience
- Active US Government Secret or higher clearance, with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrollment in Continuous Evaluation
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time
- Experience providing technical support to test programs
- Ability and willingness to support multiple shifts and odd hours
- Current and active Top Secret Clearance (preferred)
- Current and active Program Access (preferred)
- Technical support experience for Test Programs, including aircraft OFP updates and laboratory instrumentation sets, from planning through post-test review and closeout (preferred)
- Knowledge of MIL-STD-1553 communication protocol (preferred)
- Experience with HF/UHF/VHF Communications (preferred)
- Experience with weapons system test (preferred)
- 2 or more years of experience in test and evaluation (preferred)
- Experience with START and Jira (preferred)
- Knowledge of Air Force life cycle sustainment processes (preferred)
- Knowledge of IFC development processes (preferred)
- Knowledge of Agile software development methodology (preferred)
- U.S. Citizenship required for positions with a government clearance
