About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review and optimize standardized facilities processes and procedures for multiple sites
- Coordinate periodic reviews and updates to documentation
- Monitor key metrics and site feedback to identify gaps and opportunities
- Lead Root Cause Analysis investigations into critical facility system failures
- Prioritize improvement needs based on calculated business value
- Collaborate with stakeholders on solution development
- Coordinate requirements gathering, configuration changes, testing, and rollout of tool enhancements
- Design and execute change management plans for software updates and process modifications
- Implement corrective and preventive actions from RCAs
- Author training documentation, SOPs, quick-reference guides, and video tutorials
- Design and deliver training for facilities staff and stakeholders
- Support change management through communication plans and adoption tracking
- Develop and maintain user guides, reference materials, and standard configurations
- Serve as primary contact for questions, support, and feedback on facilities processes and tools
- Align local site requirements with standard practices
- Develop and standardize workflows for long-range facility planning, space utilization, and asset lifecycle management
- Partner with facilities teams, ESHM, security, operations, IT, and business stakeholders to drive operational excellence
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Architecture, Construction Management, Operations Research, Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a relevant technical field with 5 years of relevant experience for Level 3; OR a master’s degree with 3 years; OR a PhD with 1 year
- Bachelor’s degree in the stated fields with 8 years of relevant experience for Level 4; OR a master’s degree with 6 years; OR a PhD with 4 years
- Strong organizational skills in managing time, projects, and resources
- Strong skills in process mapping, workflow design, and requirements gathering
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities across geographically dispersed locations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office/365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Teams, and SharePoint or equivalent collaboration platforms
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams and interact with managers and customers
- Ability to organize stakeholders while providing project visibility and closure plans
- Experience managing/supporting enterprise-level facilities systems integration, technical plant engineering, or operational process design
- Proficiency with CMMS, project management systems, IWMS/CAFM space planning and/or CAD tools, and/or business intelligence platforms
- Background or knowledge leading cross-functional root cause analysis on critical facility infrastructure failures
- Ability to analyze facility performance data to generate actionable insights and cost-saving initiatives
- Exceptional instructional capability, public speaking skills, user empathy, and software quality assurance testing approach
- Experience with facility design and drafting, including space layouts and utilization plans
- Experience with design and construction of classified facilities
- Experience in an ITAR-regulated environment, defense manufacturing plant, or aerospace facility
- Certified Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt preferred
- Familiarity with data integrations, APIs, SQL, or dashboarding tools
- Experience in a large, complex, or highly regulated organization
- Aerospace and/or Defense Industry experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance
- U.S. Citizenship is required for positions with a government clearance and certain restricted positions
- Willingness to travel 25% of the time
