About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Implement Mission Assurance principles across the program to ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and Northrop Grumman requirements
Coordinate and implement engineering activities, ensuring IPT plans have sufficient quality, completeness, and detail
Execute an integrated mission assurance plan and supporting plans aligned with contractual requirements and stakeholder goals
Advocate and implement continuous improvement opportunities to increase process efficiency and effectiveness
Investigate quality problems, issues, and failures through root cause investigation and corrective action implementation
Perform technical issue assessment, provide technical guidance, and plan resolutions
Support and provide guidance for program engineering processes from project inception through completion
Work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment across all levels

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree (STEM) in Engineering (electrical, mechanical, systems, aerospace) with 5 years experience, Master’s Degree (STEM) with 3 years experience, or PhD (STEM) with 1 years experience for Principal Quality Engineer
Bachelor’s Degree (STEM) in Engineering (electrical, mechanical, systems, aerospace) with 8 years experience, Master’s Degree (STEM) with 6 years experience, or PhD Degree (STEM) with 4 years experience for Senior Principal Quality Engineer
Understanding and broad application of engineering systems and DoD Mil specs and standards
Ability to work with minimal oversight, or minimal to no oversight for Senior Principal, in a multi-discipline team environment
Experience leading process improvement projects; leading teams on process improvement projects for Senior Principal
Training and experience performing root cause corrective action; experience leading and facilitating root cause corrective action for teams for Senior Principal
Experience with AS9100/ISO9001 Quality Management Systems; lead auditor experience for Senior Principal
Active US Secret Clearance and ability to obtain program access
Preferred: experience or strong understanding of system engineering principles, disciplines, and tools
Preferred: Active Top Secret Clearance with program access
