About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze current inventory effectiveness using statistical analysis
- Account for changing configurations
- Apply probability-based analytics to optimize recommendations and maximize impacts to key performance indicators
- Gather required information and work with stakeholders
- Provide analyses and presentations
- Develop and/or integrate system simulation frameworks, performance models and algorithms, threat models, and command and control models
- Simulate real-time operation and develop software/models representing projected system behavior
- Develop, integrate, and use graphical user interfaces and visualization tools
- Model operational environments
- Perform trade studies through computer simulation and recommend alternative architectures
- Perform operational analysis and mission effectiveness analysis
- Develop and integrate mission concept development, Level of Repair Analysis, spares sensitivity, Operations and Support cost analyses/ROI, and model-based systems engineering
- Develop and adapt models, methods, and simulations supporting the design, development, and sustainment of system design concepts and technologies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline and 5 years of statistical analysis, data analysis, or system modeling experience; OR Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of relevant experience; OR PhD in a STEM discipline and 1 year of relevant experience for the Principal level
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline and 8 years of statistical analysis, data analysis, or system modeling experience; OR Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 6 years of relevant experience; OR PhD in a STEM discipline and 4 years of relevant experience for the Sr Principal level
- Experience in statistical modeling
- Advanced proficiency with MS Excel, including extensive formula calculations, pivot tables/charts, and macros
- Must have the ability to obtain a US Government Top Secret Clearance
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
- Willing and able to travel up to 25%
- U.S. Citizenship is required for positions with a government clearance
- Preferred: current active in-scope US Government Top Secret Clearance with Special Program Access
- Preferred: previous project management experience
- Preferred: experience with Tempo, VMetric, or EDCAS
- Preferred: experience with MAAF or LCOM
- Preferred: experience with data mining techniques
- Preferred: relevant experience in logistics support elements, including LSA, Maintenance Planning, ModSim, SEE, PHM, SLO, Obsolescence Management, Training & Training Systems, Technical Data, Support Hardware, Fleet & Field Support, and Product Support Management
