About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Source and procure complex, specialized goods and services
- Own contractual management for suppliers
- Manage subcontract sourcing, proposal evaluation, negotiation, award, execution, administration, and closeout
- Manage supplier performance throughout the subcontracting lifecycle
- Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, public law requirements, and company policies
- Identify cost-reduction, efficiency-improvement, and risk-management opportunities through negotiations
- Collaborate with legal, contracts, finance, planning, operations, program management, engineering, and quality stakeholders
- Monitor and manage supplier schedule, cost, technical, and quality performance for U.S. Government programs
- Interface with supplier leadership teams to drive contractual performance
- Cultivate relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders
- Contribute to Program Risk and Opportunity management
- Use Lean Six Sigma process tools with suppliers to drive quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement
Requirements
What you’ll need- Supply Chain Specialist: Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of experience, Master's Degree, or High School Diploma and 6 years of experience
- Principal Supply Chain Specialist: Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of experience, Master's Degree with 3 years, or High School Diploma and 9 years of experience
- Experience in Procurement, Subcontracts, Contracts, Proposals, Sustainment, Program Integration, or another Global Supply Chain-related field
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Experience with SAP/MRP or related business application software
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Level Security Clearance and Special Program Access within a reasonable amount of time
- Working knowledge of FAR and DFARS regulations preferred
- Supplier selection/management experience on U.S. Government contracts preferred
- Experience working within a government-approved purchasing system preferred
- Familiarity with NGAS Subcontracting terms and conditions preferred
- U.S. Citizenship is required for positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions
