About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Source and procure complex, specialized goods and services
  • Own contractual management for suppliers
  • Manage subcontract sourcing, proposal evaluation, negotiation, award, execution, administration, and closeout
  • Coordinate with legal, contracts, finance, planning, operations, program management, engineering, and quality stakeholders
  • Monitor and manage supplier schedule, cost, technical, and quality performance for U.S. Government programs
  • Interface with supplier leadership teams to drive performance of contractual requirements
  • Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, public law requirements, and company policies
  • Identify cost-reduction, efficiency, and risk-management opportunities through negotiations
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders
  • Contribute to Program Risk and Opportunity management
  • Use Lean Six Sigma process tools with suppliers to drive quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of experience, Master's Degree, or High School Diploma and 6 years of experience for Subcontract Specialist
  • Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of experience, Master's Degree with 3 years, or High School Diploma and 9 years of experience for Principal Subcontract Specialist
  • Experience in Procurement, Subcontracts, Contracts, Proposals, Sustainment, Program Integration, or another Global Supply Chain-related field
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with SAP/MRP or related business application software
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Level Security Clearance and Special Program Access within a reasonable amount of time
  • Working knowledge of FAR and DFARS regulations preferred
  • Supplier selection/management experience on U.S. Government contracts preferred
  • Experience working within a government-approved purchasing system preferred
  • Familiarity with NGAS Subcontracting terms and conditions preferred
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions
  • Willingness to work 100% onsite in El Segundo, CA or Rancho Bernardo, CA
  • Willingness to travel 10% of the time
