About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct research, write requirements, develop models, define interfaces, and perform analysis within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) structure
- Drive development of new program requirements and refine existing program requirements
- Influence the pursuit of future technologies and capabilities
- Collaborate across engineering disciplines and technology areas to integrate and communicate technical capabilities and analyses
- Support multiple simultaneous Modernization and Sustainment efforts
- Develop MBSE artifacts using Cameo
- Perform requirements development, allocation, verification/validation planning, and manage interface definition efforts
- Write complex specifications, interface control documents, and engineering reports
- Support interface and communication with program, functional, and subsystem leads
- Maintain Systems Engineering artifacts according to configuration management procedures
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure proper verification and validation of Systems Engineering artifacts
- Coordinate across IPTs and with external customers
- Solicit stakeholder and team-member input, synthesize data, and communicate findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline and 5 years of related professional/military experience in Systems Engineering, OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related professional/military experience in Systems Engineering, OR a PhD in a STEM discipline and 1 year of related professional/military experience in Systems Engineering
- Ability to obtain a DOD Secret clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
- Experience interpreting, deriving, allocating, or managing technical requirements
- Experience with Python or other scripting language
- Experience with DOORS
- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Experience with military aircraft or weapon system design and/or operation, including requirements verification and certification
- Experience with requirement decomposition and traceability from System to Unit/Supplier Specifications
- Experience with Cameo
- Experience with software development
- Experience with HW/SW integration testing
- Experience with Agile execution
- Experience with managing suppliers with technical requirements and verification expectations
- Experience with DOORS DXL and DOORS administration
- Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment software development for Aircraft Sustainment efforts
- Active DoD Secret or Top Secret Clearance
- Active/current SAP clearance (any SAP)
- U.S. Citizenship is required for positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions
