About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the Sea-Launched Cruise Missile program within Northrop Grumman Defense Systems’ Future Concepts business
- Lead a team executing a strategic development program for the U.S. Navy
- Represent Northrop Grumman in customer engagements for current program execution and follow-on opportunity development
- Develop and deliver briefings to internal and external stakeholders
- Interface and collaborate with chief architects on concept development
- Identify current and emerging system capabilities needed to achieve desired warfighting mission effects
- Lead and motivate a diverse team across multiple contracts
- Execute a $200M+ program portfolio and grow it as customer needs evolve
- Identify and respond to RFIs, RFPs, and FOPRs related to SLCM-N development opportunities
- Brief customers at flag officer level and Northrop Grumman executive leadership
- Collaborate across Northrop Grumman sectors to drive integrated, cross-domain solutions
- Manage customer communication and collaboration
- Lead matrixed reports, define goals and team composition, and ensure continued performance
- Manage risks, issues, and opportunities
- Set a vision and define resource, personnel, and facility requirements to meet financial and technological commitments
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in STEM and 10 plus years of related experience, OR a Master's degree in STEM and 8 plus years of related experience
- Related experience in project management, program management, engineering, capture efforts, and/or business management related functions
- At least 8 years’ experience in program/project management
- Previous leadership or management experience
- Current, active U.S. Secret (or higher) security clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret clearance and Special Access Program (SAP)
- U.S. Citizenship required for positions with a government clearance
- Preferred: Current U.S. Top Secret and SCI security clearances
- Preferred: Degree in a related STEM discipline
- Preferred: Prior Profit & Loss responsibility, contract execution, and business growth experience
- Preferred: Experience leading a team in a matrixed environment
- Preferred: Experience as a functional manager
- Preferred: Experience engaging, briefing, and influencing customer executive leaders
- Preferred: Breadth of knowledge and experience across Northrop Grumman and U.S. Government products, systems, missions, and operations
