About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and unify organizational efforts to advance customer-impactful microelectronic manufacturing technology programs and nascent scientific programs
  • Develop and execute strategies for program pursuits as a sole performer and with collaborative partners
  • Ensure capabilities align with future program needs through manufacturing-centric development programs
  • Lead overall capture and execution of microelectronics programs
  • Coordinate with existing Northrop Grumman teams and geographically dispersed teams
  • Work with capture teams to drive successful capture activities
  • Lead teams toward successful program milestones through resource management, prioritization, customer engagement, and team support
  • Balance tactical and strategic technical and financial goals
  • Build customer relationships and develop messaging for customer engagements
  • Build relationships with strategic partners and key suppliers
  • Manage long-term program risks and opportunities
  • Understand customer missions and strategic goals
  • Develop new business opportunities, capture plans, proposals, and business plans
  • Develop and execute long-term technology and process roadmaps
  • Implement strategies for enterprise-wide program growth
  • Participate in contract negotiations and manage specifications, budgets, milestones, and terms
  • Establish and manage program and subordinate baselines
  • Measure and report program performance
  • Evaluate program and system architecture alignment with customer strategies and business development efforts
  • Conduct risk and opportunity management, including identification, mitigation, and realization
  • Manage suppliers to meet program objectives
  • Travel to other Northrop Grumman facilities, customer, and supplier sites as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 10 years of related experience or 8 years of related experience with Master's Degree
  • Minimum 8 years of management experience in Operations Management, Engineering Management, Functional Management, or Program Management
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to lead effectively in a team environment
  • Proven experience with customers in commercial, US government and defense industrial base
  • Demonstrated program execution expertise
  • Demonstrated Systems Thinking and customer strategy application
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
  • Minimum active U.S. Government Secret (or DoE equivalent) with the ability to be granted a TS clearance
  • Education in a STEM field (preferred)
  • 15 years of experience in government program management or DOD (preferred)
  • 10 years of management experience in Operations Management, Engineering Management, or Program Management (preferred)
  • Active PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (preferred)
  • Active TS clearance (preferred)
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions
