About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead a talented team of cost and schedule management individuals supporting the Aerostructures Business Area
- Manage financial planning and reporting
- Manage cost and schedule performance
- Manage earned value management
- Manage risks and opportunities
- Manage strategic and indirect program activities
- Manage staffing needs, including hiring, training, developing employees, assigning work scope, and providing daily direction
- Collaborate across functional teams to ensure program priorities succeed
- Interface with internal and external customers, including sector/division/program leadership, USAF customers, DCMA, and Deloitte
- Oversee development, implementation, and management of program budgets
- Maintain compliance with internal and external policies and procedures, including EVM, FAR, and SOX
- Assist with profitability assessments, financial forecasting, cash management, and financial planning/reporting/analysis
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with 9 years of Business Management work experience or Master's degree with 7 years of Business Management work experience
- Prior managerial experience required
- Must be able to support required travel based on location (UT 10%, OH 25%, CA 30%)
- Aerospace industry experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) guidelines
- Working knowledge of EVM systems, including Cobra or similar systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word applications
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs
- Preferred: 10+ years Business Management work experience, and an MBA or other related master’s degree
- Familiarity with cost and schedule management processes and tools
- Advanced ability in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word applications
- Experience developing and presenting business strategies, financial information, and risk assessments to leadership teams
- Experience interfacing with government audit agencies such as DCMA and DCAA, as well as accounting auditing agencies such as Deloitte
- Experience utilizing SAP S4, Hyperion (or related financial software), Cobra, and wInsight
- Active US government secret or top secret clearance preferred
