About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support information system lifecycle activities for classified government contracts
- Operate and maintain multi-user computer systems
- Work with system engineers, desktop technicians, networking engineers, project managers, end users, and IT/Cyber management
- Analyze customer requirements and determine equipment and software requirements
- Recommend and implement system enhancements and automation
- Install, upgrade, patch, monitor, troubleshoot, and manage system configurations
- Ensure reliable backup and recovery services, file systems, disk space, and virus protection
- Test and oversee product releases for compatibility and minimal user impact
- Develop and document technical processes and procedures
- Troubleshoot issues with vendors and evaluate vendor products and services
- Follow Information Systems security guidelines and report security-relevant statuses
- Maintain security audit and logging information on classified networked and standalone computers
- Isolate issues across software, firmware, hardware, operating systems, networks, and applications
- Mentor junior professionals
- Work on-site full-time in Roy, Utah or Huntsville, Alabama
- Travel approximately 10% of the time
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master's Degree with 6 years of experience; OR a Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of experience; OR an Associate's Degree with 10 years of experience; OR a High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 12 years of experience
- Experience designing and maintaining Windows domain architectures, including Active Directory, GPOs, policies, and permissions in a classified environment
- Meet U.S. Government 8140 requirements for Cybersecurity (722), such as Security+ CE, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, or SSCP
- Current U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance with a closed investigation date completed within the last 6 years OR enrollment in the U.S. Government Continuous Evaluation (CE) Program
- Ability to obtain and maintain access to Special Access Programs as a condition of continued employment
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral formats with all organizational levels and internal or external customers
- Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work after hours and weekends as needed
- U.S. citizenship required for positions with a government clearance
- Preferred: Security+ CE certification; Windows Server Administration; Active Directory; Group Policy; DNS; DHCP; LDAP; NISPOM Chapter 8; DCID 6/3-ICD 503; RMF; STIG; JAFAN; JSIG; networking; Cisco; system imaging; computer hardware; virtualized environments; backup solutions; SAN storage; environmental monitoring tools; scripting and automation; cross-platform operating systems; Assessment & Authorization processes; CIDO
