About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage configuration of baseline products
- Plan and coordinate preparation of project documentation, including engineering drawings, production specifications and schedules, and contract modifications
- Review customer contracts to identify documentation requirements for each project phase
- Apply engineering and manufacturing-process knowledge to ensure contract requirements are met
- Analyze proposed product-design changes and assess impacts on the overall product and system
- Coordinate and author modification records and documentation for management control
- Establish change orders and prepare documentation for change authorization by the company and subcontractors
- Review and analyze released engineering-change data
- Coordinate engineering changes with Engineering, Quality, Support, Manufacturing, and Engineering Data Control
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience, or Master’s degree and 6 years of experience, or PhD and 4 years of experience
- Active DoD Secret clearance with a background investigation within the past 5 years or enrollment in Continuous Evaluation
- Ability to obtain and maintain initial Special Access Program (SAP) access via Program Access Request before employment or within a company-determined reasonable timeframe
- Ability to obtain and maintain upgraded SAP/PAR
- U.S. Citizenship required for positions with a government clearance
- Travel of up to 10% may be required
- Preferred: current applicable SAP clearance
- Preferred: active DoD Top Secret clearance with a background investigation within the past 5 years or enrollment in Continuous Evaluation
- Preferred: experience reviewing contract documents and determining documentation delivery requirements
- Preferred: knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes
- Preferred: experience planning and coordinating project documentation
- Preferred: experience coordinating modification records for baseline control
- Preferred: experience with Jira/Confluence
- Preferred: experience in technical publication
- Preferred: experience in aircraft maintenance
- Preferred: excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
