About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration and customer contract activities
- Administer standard and nonstandard unconventional contracts
- Act as primary customer interface for contractual issues
- Monitor contracts and associated programs to ensure contractual obligations are communicated and understood
- Develop solutions to routine and complex contractual matters
- Ensure fulfillment of contract requirements, manage contract changes and maintain historical information
- Review terms and conditions and recommend risk mitigation strategies
- Assist management in achieving financial goals related to cash management and sales
- Prepare and manage written communications with internal and external customers
- Enter and maintain contract data in Contract Management System and/or Enterprise Accounting System
- Ensure timely delivery of contractual deliverables (CDRLs/SDRLs) and submission of invoices
- Perform complex assignments independently
- Serve as consultant to management and spokesperson on major organizational matters
- Advise senior management and customers
- Contribute to development of new concepts, techniques and standards
- Communicate technical approaches and findings clearly
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience in contracts or related field, OR a Master's degree with 6 years of experience in contracts or related field
- 12 years of applied experience accepted in lieu of degree requirement
- Proficiency in MS Office and Excel
- Experience negotiating Standard Ts&Cs, FAR/DFARS and specialty clauses
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret level security clearance required
- Current/Active Secret Clearance preferred
- Experience using 1ERP preferred
- Experience establishing and administering OCI and Firewall plans preferred
- Experience working within and shaping Other Transactional Authorities (OTAs) preferred
- Experience with U.S. government customers, international customers and Prime Contractors preferred
