About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Translate MATLAB LiDAR algorithms into high-performance GPU implementations using C++ and CUDA with an algorithm architect
  • Create LiDAR software models and test datasets for software-in-the-loop (SIL) testing
  • Create software documentation using UML
  • Work with LiDAR and related hardware in a laboratory environment
  • Communicate progress and results to a multidisciplinary team
  • Report to the R&AD organization Aerial Refueling System Lead
  • Travel approximately 10% of the time

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 8 years of related experience; OR a Master's degree in STEM with 6 years of related experience; OR a PhD in STEM with 4 years of related experience
  • Strong programming skills in C++
  • Experience with GPGPU frameworks such as CUDA or OpenCL
  • Experience with MATLAB and Simulink
  • U.S. citizenship required for positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions
  • Secret clearance type specified
  • Preferred: MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Preferred: Experience with LiDAR and point cloud data processing
  • Preferred: Experience with centroid and pose estimation
  • Preferred: Experience with sensor fusion for object identification and tracking
  • Preferred: Experience with light field cameras
  • Preferred: Experience with stereoscopic cameras
