About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as engineering authority for non-conformances
- Perform timely dispositions for nonconforming parts, assemblies, and installations
- Coordinate with multiple disciplines and stakeholder groups to determine effective solutions to defects
- Maintain integrity of the Material Review Board (MRB) process and engineering authority
- Manage and lead complex issues through hands-on coordination with departments and leadership until completion
- Support the Sentinel program as Liaison Engineer for the NGDS SDS Sentinel Program
- Provide occasional weekend support for program efforts
- Interface with senior management, peers, and employees
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8 Years with Bachelors in Science; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD
- Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period
- Experience with MRB engineering process
- Knowledge of SAP, NX, VisPro, TeamCenter, and MES
- Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulics, fuels, fluids and propulsion systems installations
- Working knowledge of composite structures and metallic structures
- Excellent written and verbal communication, mentoring, interpersonal, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with Model Based Engineering (MBE) preferred
- Field experience preferred
- U.S. Citizenship is required for positions with a government clearance
