About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to HR leaders, business leaders, and program managers on organization effectiveness, team dynamics, and change leadership
  • Lead qualitative organization diagnostics through stakeholder interviews, focus groups, facilitated assessments, and leadership and team working sessions
  • Design and facilitate strategy alignment, team launches or resets, role and responsibility clarification, and collaboration and conflict working sessions
  • Support organization design by clarifying objectives, roles, spans and layers, decision rights, and governance
  • Develop and execute change management approaches, including stakeholder planning, change narratives, communications, and leader toolkits
  • Partner with HR and business leaders to prioritize organization effectiveness efforts, sequence work, and align with sector and division strategies
  • Use engagement results, organizational feedback, and performance indicators to strengthen recommendations
  • Create presentations and written materials synthesizing diagnostic themes, recommended actions, and change plans for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Maintain and adapt organization design, team effectiveness, and change management frameworks for engineering and program environments
  • Report to the Manager, Organization Transformation for Mission Systems

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree required plus 8 years of relevant experience in HR or related field; or a Master’s degree plus 6 years of relevant experience
  • 12 years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement
  • Advanced consulting skills, including scoping problems, recommending practical solutions, gaining client buy-in, and delivering results
  • Experience leading organizational interventions from assessment to implementation
  • Broad experience applying organization, team, and leadership effectiveness practices
  • Experience leading large-scale change initiatives
  • Experience designing and facilitating leadership and team engagements
  • Strong business acumen and ability to use talent processes and tools to accelerate business results
  • Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects or clients, mitigate and escalate risk, adapt to shifting priorities, and navigate ambiguity
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills in virtual and in-person environments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • US Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Clearance
  • Degree in Organization Development or related field (preferred)
  • Certificate in coaching or certified executive coach (preferred)
  • Experience as an internal or external consultant in a complex, matrixed organization (preferred)
  • Experience in Human Resources, Organization Effectiveness, or Talent Management roles (preferred)
  • Experience with or certifications in organization development, leadership, and team effectiveness assessments and models (preferred)
  • Experience working with highly skilled technical talent (preferred)
