About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the primary manufacturing liaison to program management for development and execution of the manufacturing strategy
  • Serve as the primary product development, manufacturing, test, global supply chain, and mission assurance contact for program activities
  • Lead program review sessions with internal and external customers on operational technical, cost, and schedule performance
  • Oversee and manage product development, manufacturing, test, global supply chain, and mission assurance activities
  • Assess project and technical issues and develop and drive action plans and resolutions
  • Develop mechanisms to monitor project progress and intervene and solve problems with program managers, engineering, suppliers, line/cell managers, and customers
  • Coordinate and lead proposal preparation
  • Prepare and review manufacturing Basis of Estimate justifications
  • Create master production schedules
  • Coordinate material planning and production scheduling through product delivery
  • Drive continuous improvement by mitigating risks and realizing opportunities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience in Project/Program Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or another related discipline; or Master's degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience in Project Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or another related discipline
  • Experience with project leadership and/or process improvement
  • Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), Proposal Preparation, and/or Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) development
  • Experience acting as a liaison between multiple disciplines to solve complex problems
  • Experience troubleshooting and developing creative solutions to meet customer demands
  • Experience driving continuous improvement through mitigating risks and realizing opportunities
  • Experience leading people and/or projects directly or indirectly
  • Current/Active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance required
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • Master's degree in Engineering or Project Management preferred
  • Experience communicating with executive leadership (Director or VP level) preferred
  • Experience with SAP or another Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system preferred
  • Willingness/ability to travel 10% of the time
