About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

  • Oversee preparation and filing of amended state tax returns following federal tax changes from IRS settlements or amended federal returns
  • Resolve related tax notices
  • Assist with modeling state tax planning scenarios
  • Review state income tax returns
  • Report to the Senior Manager - State Audits and Planning

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar field, plus a CPA, and 8 years of experience in federal/multi-state income tax for large corporations; or a Master’s in Taxation, CPA, and 5 years of experience in federal/multi-state income tax for large corporations
  • Knowledge of current and pending state income tax laws and regulations
  • State income tax research ability and experience
  • Experience in the Aerospace/Defense industry is beneficial
  • Experience with income tax accounting and preparation of tax provision for public company financial statements is preferred
  • Familiarity with CorpTax software
  • U.S. citizenship is required for positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions
