About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform requirements development, allocation, verification/validation planning, and manage interface definition efforts
- Write complex specifications, interface control documents, and engineering reports
- Support interface and communication with program, functional, and subsystem leads
- Maintain Systems Engineering artifacts following configuration management procedures
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure verification and validation of Systems Engineering artifacts
- Synthesize stakeholder and team input and communicate findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences
- Manage assigned Control Accounts as CAM, delivering team deliverables on time and within cost while measuring and reporting Earned Value performance
- Ensure technical quality, performance, cost, and schedule for product team content
- Adhere to the IPT Statement of Work and perform change management with program leadership
- Identify staffing and other resources required for product team deliverables and coordinate IPT staffing with Functional Management
- Coordinate technical, cost, and schedule integration across programs and inter-program groups
- Conduct risk and opportunity management, including identification, mitigation, and realization
- Address organizational and program impacts through issue and problem resolution
- Manage stakeholder communications and program information processes
- Integrate program interdependencies throughout their lifecycle to achieve successful program completion
- Perform planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, supportability, and effectiveness analyses across the total systems lifecycle
- Convert customer or product requirements into total systems solutions, hardware specifications, and software specifications
- Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline and 12 years of related professional/military experience in Systems Engineering, or a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 10 years of related professional/military experience in Systems Engineering, or a Ph.D. in a STEM discipline and 8 years of related professional/military experience in Systems Engineering
- Active DoD Secret or higher clearance, with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
- Experience in requirements and verification management in DOORS
- Experience with requirement decomposition and traceability from System to Unit/Supplier Specifications
- Experience with software development
- Experience with HW/SW integration testing
- Experience in Cameo and traceability between architecture elements and requirements
- Current B-2 Special Access Program (SAP) clearance preferred
- Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment software development for Aircraft Sustainment efforts
- Experience with the full lifecycle of aircraft development, build, and operations
- Risk & Opportunity Management experience and change control experience
- Experience leading cross-functional technical teams
- Experience with Agile execution and leading Scrum teams
- Experience managing EVMS Control Accounts as a Control Account Manager (CAM)
- Experience with Python or other scripting language
- U.S. Citizenship is required for positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions
