About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive technical execution of a high-visibility ICS contract within the Operations and Sustainment Business Unit
  • Manage Specialty Engineering, Configuration & Data Management, Systems Integration, and Systems Architecture & Requirements disciplines
  • Ensure program schedule, cost, and performance objectives are met
  • Report to Strike's Systems Engineering and Integration EI&E Director
  • Conduct periodic Systems Engineering process reviews and present at recurring ICS Program Management Reviews
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement best-practice enhancements
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including root cause analysis, lessons-learned capture, and tool integration
  • Direct day-to-day execution of Systems Engineering activities
  • Mentor and develop a multidisciplinary Systems Engineering team
  • Ensure review deliverables are complete, technically sound, and aligned with program milestones, including SEMP updates
  • Contribute technical expertise to long-term effort proposals, cost estimates, and schedule forecasts
  • Oversee SEIT Basis of Estimate (BOE) development and regular verification during execution
  • Identify, evaluate, and mitigate technical risks
  • Capture and implement program opportunities
  • Maintain a living risk register and provide status updates to senior leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and at least 12 years of relevant military / professional experience, OR a Master's Degree in a STEM field and at least 10 years of relevant military / professional experience, OR a PhD and at least 8 years of relevant military / professional experience
  • Active DoD Secret or higher clearance, with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or current enrollment in Continuous Evaluation
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs
  • Currently briefed to and supporting applicable program statement of work
  • Experience executing Systems Engineering processes, including the full Systems Engineering life cycle and Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETR)
  • Experience with BOE development
  • Experience briefing technical presentations to internal and external stakeholders
  • Advanced STEM degree preferred
  • Knowledge of Specialty Engineering, Configuration & Data Management, Systems Integration, and Systems Architecture & Requirements preferred
  • Leadership and team-lead experience preferred
  • Prior experience with Sustaining Engineering preferred
  • U.S. Citizenship required for positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time
