About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee coordination of production-floor schedules
  • Ensure timely flow of parts, materials, and assemblies between departments
  • Ensure manufacturing processes operate efficiently and reliably with support from the expediting group
  • Estimate and agree on timescales with clients and other managers
  • Drive supplier delivery performance
  • Set execution targets and track performance to support program financial goals
  • Lead multi-disciplined teams performing complex tasks
  • Develop process improvements and create tools for exceptional performance
  • Manage team performance against company KPIs
  • Oversee day-to-day workflow of production staff
  • Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations
  • Handle employee discipline and termination in accordance with company policy
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through manufacturing-floor process controls
  • Develop trend-analysis tools for WIP and inventory abnormalities and corrective guidance
  • Monitor program plans and actuals for line balancing, WIP control, and elimination of overproduction

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of experience in supply chain management, project management, inventory management or production, OR Master’s Degree with 3 years of experience in those areas, OR High School Diploma/Equivalent with 9 years of experience in those areas
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience leading a team, process, and/or projects
  • Experience with MRP or ERP systems
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. Government Secret level clearance and Special Program Access within a reasonable amount of time
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for positions with a government clearance
  • Preferred: current or previous U.S. Government Secret (or higher) clearance
  • Preferred: SAP ERP experience
  • Preferred: experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry
  • Preferred: scheduling experience with Microsoft Project or Open Plan
  • Preferred: experience managing Aerospace production control and/or warehousing
